Axiom Zen was established in December 2012 and functions as a unique hybrid of a startup, venture capital firm, and incubator, focusing on developing startups that leverage emerging technologies such as machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, and blockchain. The company is based in Vancouver, Canada, and has been recognized as Canada’s Most Innovative Company. Its portfolio includes several innovative ventures such as Zenhub, Dapper Labs, Toby, Hammer & Tusk, and Routific. Notably, Dapper Labs, which created popular applications like NBA Top Shot and Cryptokitties, was spun out as a separate entity in February 2018. Routific, another portfolio company, specializes in route optimization and operates in over 900 cities worldwide, achieving 37% shorter routes and doubling delivery capacities. Hammer & Tusk, acquired in 2015, is dedicated to making virtual and augmented reality technologies more accessible to the mainstream.
