mHUB is an innovation center located at 1623 W. Fulton Street, Chicago, IL, dedicated to physical product development and manufacturing. It offers various membership options, including shared workspace, reserved desks, dedicated office space, and customizable associate/group memberships. The center features extensive prototyping labs equipped for 3D printing, cold metals, electronics, finishing, hot metals, laser cutting, plastics, textiles, and woodworking, along with a microfactory for onsite low-volume production runs. Members have access to design and development software such as Fusion360, Autodesk, Solidworks, and CAD. mHUB’s ecosystem includes over 270 startups, and it does not take equity in member companies but provides investment opportunities through its accelerator programs, which focus on Climate & EnergyTech, MedTech, and Sustainable Manufacturing. The center has raised over $1.89 billion in capital, launched over 1,610 products, generated over $1.57 billion in revenue, and created over 6,400 jobs. mHUB hosts various events and classes, including networking events, panels, corporate meetings, and gatherings, in facilities that include a main event space, classrooms, and conference rooms with audio-visual systems. The Catalyze Initiative promotes wealth creation for underrepresented founders, while the mPOWER programs support startups founded by women and people of color. The Landis Family Fellowship provides underrepresented talent with access to equipment and paid work opportunities in product design and R&D. mHUB’s new facility is situated in an Opportunity Zone, HUBZone, and Planned Manufacturing District, supported by a $50 million financial package. The Product Impact Fund I invests in early-stage physical product and hardware startups, and accelerator cohorts focus on demand-driven HardTech solutions in Sustainable Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, MedTech, ClimateTech, and EnergyTech. The prototyping lab includes over $6 million worth of equipment and resources. mHUB’s mentor network comprises industry-leading experts in various fields, and its community partners focus on skill development, technical assistance, and network building.
