The Centrepolis Accelerator is dedicated to accelerating the growth of Michigan’s advanced manufacturing sector, innovative hardware entrepreneurs, and small manufacturers. By providing access to critical resources such as funding, expert guidance, and essential business and product development tools, Centrepolis supports the innovation ecosystem within the state. Centrepolis Accelerator's Programs

The Centrepolis Accelerator offers a variety of specialized programs designed to address different aspects of business development and innovation. Key programs include the Defense Hardtech Accelerator Program, Michigan Mobility Prototyping Grant Program, Industrial Decarbonization Innovation Challenge (IDIC), C3 Accelerator, Industry 4.0 Accelerator, and NextCycle Michigan. These programs provide targeted support ranging from prototyping grants to sustainability initiatives, ensuring that a wide array of entrepreneurs and small businesses can benefit from tailored resources and opportunities. For instance, the Michigan Mobility Prototyping Grant Program awards up to $50,000 to at least eight promising mobility and electrification technology companies, fostering breakthroughs in these critical areas.

Centrepolis Accelerator's Impact

Since its inception, the Centrepolis Accelerator has made a significant impact on the Michigan economy and innovation landscape. The organization has commercialized over 150 products, created more than 325 jobs, and supported over 375 companies. Additionally, the Accelerator has generated $80 million in revenue and investment and facilitated 351 contracts to Michigan suppliers valued at $46.5 million. These achievements highlight Centrepolis's role as a pivotal player in driving economic growth and technological advancement within the region.

Centrepolis Accelerator's Facilities and Resources

The Centrepolis Accelerator boasts a state-of-the-art 6,200 square foot facility designed to meet the diverse needs of its clients. This facility includes additional workspace, training facilities, and a premier manufacturing technology lab, providing an ideal environment for innovation and development. As part of the Southfield Centrepolis SmartZone, it serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and growth. The Accelerator also leverages partnerships with Lawrence Technological University and the City of Southfield's Business & Economic Development Department to enhance its offerings.

Centrepolis Accelerator's Partnerships and Collaborations

Centrepolis Accelerator collaborates with a wide range of partners to amplify its impact and extend its reach. Key partnerships include those with Evergreen Climate Innovations, mHub, and Spark Innovation Center, focusing on advancing the commercialization of innovative climate tech and clean energy businesses across the Greater Midwest Region. Additionally, the Accelerator works with Munro & Associates to offer Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments and with IndustryStar for the Supply Chain Partner Program. These collaborations enable Centrepolis to provide comprehensive and specialized support to its clients, ensuring their success in competitive markets.
