Tu Nidito

Tu Nidito, founded in 1994 and serving the community since 1996, is a registered 501(c)(3) charity located at 3922 N. Mountain Ave., Tucson, AZ 85719. The organization offers free support to families grieving the diagnosis of a serious medical condition or the death of a loved one, with all programs available in both English and Spanish. Services include Serious Medical Condition Support, Bereavement, and Grief Response. Tu Nidito’s mission is to create a community of acceptance and understanding for those grieving, with a vision that no child grieves alone. In 2000, Tu Nidito merged with Children to Children, expanding its mission to provide a full continuum of support for grieving families. The organization received a $25,000 Community Impact Grant from New York Life to support a pilot program addressing unresolved grief among homeless youth, specifically providing peer grief support groups for youth ages 12-17 experiencing homelessness. Tu Nidito also offers volunteer opportunities, including Direct Care Volunteers, Indirect Care Volunteers, and internships, and hosts events such as The Remarkable Celebration to honor mothers and raise funds.
