Good Grief

Good Grief offers free, unlimited peer support programs for children, teens, young adults, and families who have experienced the death of a mother, father, sister, or brother. With locations in Morristown, NJ, and the Margaret Anne Wilby Center in Princeton, NJ, the organization provides a variety of programs including StoryCorps, The Whole Child Initiative, and Routes to Resilience. Good Grief hosts annual events such as a 5K run, a gala, and Children’s Grief Awareness Day. The organization also offers professional development workshops for educators and parent education workshops to help caregivers guide their children through adversity. Enrichment programs and partnerships provide unique, experience-based opportunities for participants. Routes to Resilience is a prevention-based social and emotional learning program for K-12 students, and grief support groups are available in schools to help students who have experienced the death of an important person in their life. Good Grief’s community-based peer support model includes activities like play, music, art, drama, and reflective sharing.
