Heart Aerospace Company Information
Heart Aerospace, originally known as Dragonship, is an industrials company focused on the aviation and space sub-industry, located in Gothenburg, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. With a team of 130 employees, the company has raised $107 million in Series B funding and is part of the Y-Combinator W19 batch. Heart Aerospace is developing the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane designed to seat 30 passengers, featuring four electric motors and primarily powered by batteries with reserve-hybrid turbogenerators. The ES-30 offers a zero-emissions range of 200 kilometers and can extend up to 800 kilometers with fewer passengers. It is expected to receive type certification by 2028, with plans to extend its range as battery technology advances. Additionally, the company is working on a 19-passenger aircraft expected to be certifiable by EASA CS-23/FAA Part 23, with an all-electric range of 250 miles. Heart Aerospace has signed Letters of Intent with several airlines, including Scandinavian Airlines SAS, BRA, and Wideroe for over 86 aircraft. The company’s partners and investors include notable entities such as Breakthrough Energy Ventures, United Airlines, and Air Canada. Heart Aerospace aims to deliver its first ES-19 electric airliner by 2026, contributing to its goal of reducing emissions and enhancing the sustainability of regional air travel.
