CodeYourFuture is a UK-based non-profit organization dedicated to training refugees and other disadvantaged individuals to become web developers. The organization offers a free Software Development Programme and a Day-to-day Digital Skills Course. The Software Development Programme includes training in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and more, while the Day-to-day Digital Skills Course is a three-week program that helps participants make the most of their mobile phones. The organization follows a 100% donation model where all public donations are used to cover student expenses. CodeYourFuture emphasizes employability skills such as teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, communication, and continuous learning. Graduates have also worked at companies like Adzuna, Sensible Object, tlr, and WeGotPop. The organization offers both remote and in-person volunteer opportunities and operates on principles of proactivity, flexibility, simplicity, transparency, vulnerability, curiosity, and safety. The Day-to-day Digital Skills Course covers various topics, including smartphone parts, internet, web browsers, app management, digital form filling, social media, translation tools, email writing etiquette, cyber security, Google Documents, maps and navigation, mobile banking, job platforms, online shopping, e-commerce, mobile phone scanning, and mobile phone gestures.
