Súper is an insurance company founded in 2019 that offers three main types of insurance: home insurance, life insurance, and earthquake insurance. It collaborates with well-established insurance companies General de Seguros and Atlas to issue policies and is regulated by the Comisión Nacional de Seguros y Fianzas and supervised by CONDUSEF. Súper is also a member of the Asociación Insurtech México (AIM). The company provides online insurance quotes and contracts, allowing customers to purchase and manage policies entirely online. Súper’s customer support is available through WhatsApp, email, and phone, and it also maintains a blog covering topics such as health, financial advice, and insurance tips. Súper aims to make the experience of contracting and using insurance as simple as booking a vacation online, offering a flexible and easy-to-use online platform for purchasing insurance. Home insurance policies start at $132 MXN per month and cover structural damage, damage to belongings, theft, debris removal, third-party damages, substitute rent, glass breakage, and electronic/electrical appliance damage. Additional coverage is available for natural disasters, assault, and worker accidents. Home insurance also includes services such as electrician, plumbing, glass repair, and gas leak reports, but does not cover properties that are uninhabited, rented temporarily through applications like Airbnb, or used as warehouses. Life insurance policies start at $49 MXN per month and offer benefits such as free medical consultations through the MidocOnline app, a 15% advance for funeral expenses after the second year, a 30% advance in case of terminal illness, and a 15% discount on laboratory services at El Chopo. Life insurance also allows adding up to three additional people. Earthquake insurance, backed by reinsurance from MunichRe, the second-largest reinsurer globally, offers automatic payments within 30 days without the need for damage assessment. Earthquake insurance payments are based on the intensity of the earthquake and the specific conditions of the property, with policies starting at $70 MXN per month for property owners, $150 MXN per month for renters, and $170 MXN per month for business owners.
