Heirloom Company Information

Heirloom operates the first commercial Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility in the United States, located in Tracy, California. The company uses the world’s most cost-effective DAC technology, which harnesses the natural powers of limestone to accelerate the carbon mineralization process from years to just days. Heirloom offers carbon removal credits, with costs expected to be less than $100 per ton of CO2 by 2035. The facility is fully powered by renewable energy and constructed with local union labor. Captured CO2 is permanently sequestered in concrete through a partnership with CarbonCure Technologies. Heirloom aims to permanently remove 1 billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2035. Additionally, the Tracy facility is a pioneer in implementing a community governance model.
