Janelia Research Campus, situated in Ashburn, Virginia, approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, is dedicated to pioneering research practices and technologies to address complex biological questions. The campus supports a wide array of specialized teams, including Anatomy and Histology, Cryo-Electron Microscopy, Electron Microscopy, Flow Cytometry, and many others. Janelia is committed to open science, exemplified by initiatives like the Advanced Imaging Center and the Open Science Software Initiative (OSSI). The campus hosts numerous research groups and labs, such as the Aguilera Castrejon Lab, Ahrens Lab, Betzig Lab, and more, focusing on diverse areas like Behavioral & Systems Neuroscience, Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience, and Optical Physics & Imaging.
