Innovative Genomics Institute Company Information
The Innovative Genomics Institute is dedicated to advancing genome engineering to address significant global issues in health, climate change, and agriculture. The institute operates several specialized centers, including the Li Ka Shing Center for Translational Genomics, which bridges the gap between laboratory research and clinical application, and the Plant Genomics & Transformation Facility, which focuses on agricultural innovations. Additionally, the Interventional Genomics Unit at the institute develops new tools and workflows to integrate genomics into clinical practice effectively. The institute is also committed to education and public engagement, offering various resources and programs that explain and promote understanding of CRISPR and other genome editing technologies. It supports the development of new genomic tools and methodologies through its platform for continuous innovation. Ethical considerations and equitable access to genomic technologies are prioritized through its public impact programs. Moreover, the institute enhances its research capabilities with the Next Generation Sequencing Core, which provides comprehensive in-house sequencing services.
