Hope for Haiti

Hope for Haiti is dedicated to improving education, healthcare, and economic opportunities in Haiti. The organization supports school infrastructure, teacher training, and student achievement initiatives, benefiting 6,700 students and over 400 teachers. In the healthcare sector, Hope for Haiti operates an infirmary in southern Haiti, providing services to over 15,000 patients annually, including chronic illness prevention and treatment, dental care, and wound care. They also conduct mobile medical and dental clinics in rural communities and employ Community Health Workers who deliver health lessons to 7,249 students to control and prevent diseases. The organization focuses on diabetes care management through access to care, education, and partnerships. Annually, they procure and distribute over $11 million USD in medication and medical supplies to support the healthcare system in southern Haiti. Additionally, Hope for Haiti implements a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program in 24 communities, enhancing water access, public health infrastructure, and hygiene education. The organization also provides economic support through grants and loans to social entrepreneurs and businesses, aiming to reduce inequality and promote economic growth. To raise funds and awareness for their programs, Hope for Haiti hosts the annual ‘Hike for Haiti’ event.
