FoodCorps' Programs and Initiatives

Service members teach students to grow, cook, and appreciate nourishing foods that celebrate their cultures. The Nourishing Futures initiative is particularly significant, aiming for all 50 million students in the U.S. to have access to food education and free, nourishing meals by 2030. Additionally, FoodCorps collaborates with the African American Mayors Association to promote food justice and equity in school nutrition.

FoodCorps operates in over 230 schools nationwide, ranging from Maine to California and including tribal nations. They have established the FOLCS (Food Operators & Leaders of Color in Schools) network to support leaders of color in school nutrition.
