The cooperative produces a range of food and animal feed ingredients using soybeans, sunflowers, canola, and other crops grown by its farmer-owners. As a leading cooperative marketer of grain, CHS moves more than 2 billion bushels within the United States and to about 65 countries every year. Over the past 10 years, CHS has returned $3.2 billion in cash patronage and equity redemptions to its owners. CHS operates petroleum refineries in McPherson, Kansas, and Laurel, Montana, and has access to propane supply at 150 terminals in 40 states and five Canadian provinces. The company manufactures high-quality lubricant products that are lab tested and field proven. CHS is a premier ethanol producer, marketer, and trader, producing 260 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol and marketing 1 billion gallons of ethanol each year. The cooperative has an extensive grain origination network that sources and markets grains, oilseeds, and distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) from local cooperatives and ethanol plants.
