CHS is a diversified global agribusiness cooperative owned by farmers and member cooperatives across the United States. It operates petroleum refineries and pipelines and manufactures, markets, and distributes Cenex® brand refined fuels, lubricants, propane, and renewable energy products. CHS supplies energy, crop nutrients, seed, crop protection products, grain marketing services, production and agricultural services, animal nutrition products, foods and food ingredients, and risk management services. The company connects grains produced by its farmer-owners with food and feed customers globally, leveraging a strong, efficient supply chain and access to global markets. CHS operates in more than 450 communities in 16 states and sources critical crop-producing inputs and livestock feed, mapping pathways to global grain markets. The cooperative produces a range of food and animal feed ingredients using soybeans, sunflowers, canola, and other crops grown by its farmer-owners. As a leading cooperative marketer of grain, CHS moves more than 2 billion bushels within the United States and to about 65 countries every year. Over the past 10 years, CHS has returned $3.2 billion in cash patronage and equity redemptions to its owners. CHS operates petroleum refineries in McPherson, Kansas, and Laurel, Montana, and has access to propane supply at 150 terminals in 40 states and five Canadian provinces. The company manufactures high-quality lubricant products that are lab tested and field proven. CHS is a premier ethanol producer, marketer, and trader, producing 260 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol and marketing 1 billion gallons of ethanol each year. The cooperative has an extensive grain origination network that sources and markets grains, oilseeds, and distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) from local cooperatives and ethanol plants. CHS has joint ventures with Ventura Foods, LLC, and Ardent Mills, enhancing its product offerings in the food industry. The company has a strong presence in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions with regional headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and offices in several countries. In the Asia-Pacific region, CHS has a regional headquarters in Singapore and offices in Australia, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. CHS operates a private terminal along the Paraná Guazú River in Argentina with an electric crane designed to maintain equilibrium and reduce energy consumption. The cooperative has invested in the growing TEMCO export joint venture to provide farmers with more opportunities to move their grains and oilseeds globally. CHS also has a venture capital fund called Cooperative Ventures, started in partnership with Growmark, focusing on innovative solutions and emerging technologies in agriculture. Additionally, CHS offers a digital farm planning and management platform called Agellum® and provides financing solutions through CHS Capital, which offers producer and commercial financing options.
