Seaboard Corporation is a diversified conglomerate with net sales exceeding $11 billion annually and operations in more than 45 nations. Seaboard Foods, a major division, processes more than six million hogs each year and operates eight centrally located feed mills. It is the third largest pig producer and the fourth largest pork processor in the United States, with farm operations in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and Iowa. Seaboard Marine, another key division, operates a fleet of approximately 25 vessels and over 60,000 containers, providing cargo shipping services in over 26 countries in the Western Hemisphere and operating terminals at PortMiami and the Port of Houston. Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group consists of vertically integrated commodity trading, processing, and logistics companies, with milling facilities in nine countries throughout South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. This group sources, transports, and markets approximately 12 million metric tons of commodities annually and produces around two million metric tons of various food products. Transcontinental Capital Corporation (Bermuda) Ltd. owns the Estrella del Mar II power barge, generating approximately 108 megawatts of electricity for the local power grid in the Dominican Republic. Butterball, LLC, another subsidiary, produces approximately one billion pounds of turkey each year and operates six processing plants in North Carolina, Arkansas, and Missouri. Mount Dora Farms processes over fifteen million pounds of jalapeño peppers annually at its plant in Comayagua, Honduras. Seaboard Energías Renovables y Alimentos, one of the largest sugar processing plants in Argentina, has an annual capacity of approximately 250,000 metric tons of sugar and 33 million gallons of alcohol, and operates a 51 megawatt co-generation plant fueled primarily by sugarcane by-product.
