Uniswap

Uniswap is a decentralized trading protocol that has facilitated over 71 million trades and $489 billion in trade volume. The protocol boasts over 300 integrations and is governed by a global community of UNI token holders and more than 4,400 community delegates. Uniswap offers a Javascript SDK and fully open-source code for developers, along with guided tutorials for integrating with their protocol in dApps and smart contracts. The governance process includes a Temperature Check, Consensus Check, and Governance Proposal phases, with a Governance Forum for proposing upgrades and discussing the protocol’s future. Off-chain voting on proposals is conducted via Uniswap’s Snapshot interface, weighted by the number of UNI delegates. The ecosystem includes a variety of DeFi apps, integrations, and tools, along with a Swap Widget for integrating swaps and a Bug Bounty program to encourage the discovery of vulnerabilities. Uniswap’s community engages on platforms like Discord, Twitter, and Reddit, and the company hosts Unicode, a virtual hackathon focused on the Uniswap Protocol. The ecosystem features projects such as Rari Capital, Monolith, and many others.
