Crystal Lee is a Chinese-Canadian production consultant and technical theatre manager, co-founder of What by When, and the Director of Production and Technical at Why Not Theatre.

Crystal Lee, holding the title of Production Consultant, is a mixed-race, Chinese-Canadian professional originally from New Brunswick’s northshore. She is a co-founder of the production firm What by When (WxW) and an active member of the collective Means of Production. Crystal teaches Production Management at Sheridan College and is passionate about guest lecturing and mentorship, engaging with various educational institutions and community initiatives. She has received training from prestigious institutions such as The Banff Centre and National Theatre School, and has been part of the management team at the National Arts Centre. Currently, she serves as a national board member for the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology and works full-time with Why Not Theatre as their Director of Production and Technical.
