Dr. Prasanna Kumar Juvvuna is a lead scientist and an expert in developmental and stem cell biology, with a career spanning over 10 years. She graduated with both a Bachelor’s and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has worked alongside notable experts like James Thomson, Davor Solter, and Barbara Knowles. Following her Ph.D., she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at IMCB, A*STAR in Singapore. Dr. Juvvuna has combined her extensive experience in biotech research with her passion for food to co-found Shiok Meats, a cell-based crustaceans startup, alongside Dr. Sandhya Sriram. Additionally, she serves as an advisor to North Mountain Consulting, Cell Ag Australia, and other cell-based initiatives, and has recently ventured into angel investing, focusing on sustainable projects.
