Rainbow Health offers a wide range of HIV-specific services including case management, financial assistance, benefits counseling, housing, legal services, peer support, and transportation. The organization provides mental health and substance use services specifically for LGBTQ+ people and those living with HIV. Rainbow Health operates the Minnesota AIDSLine, a statewide information and referral service for HIV-related questions and resources. Their Syringe Services Program, called Mainline, is the largest in Minnesota, distributing and collecting approximately 20,000 syringes each month and providing education and HIV prevention and care services. The Free to Be program, supported by a $2M grant from the United Health Foundation, offers mental health services and case management for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals aged 14-24. Rainbow Health also conducts the Voices of Health Survey, the largest survey of LGBTQ+ Minnesotans, to identify unique healthcare needs. The Legal Services team provides legal advice, brief services, and direct representation for those facing healthcare discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Rainbow Health offers telehealth services for HIV prevention, STI/STD prevention and treatment, and HIV care services. The MN HIV Housing Coalition works to improve accessibility and expand housing options for people living with and at risk for HIV. Additionally, Rainbow Health provides benefits counseling services to help navigate public and private health insurance and health programs. Their mental health services include individual, group, couple, and family therapy, available both in-person and via teletherapy. Rainbow Health’s mission includes ending HIV by addressing health disparities and providing comprehensive services for people with HIV. Their community engagement initiatives also include aging initiatives, health insurance navigation, and legal services programs.
