Physician Housecalls

Physician Housecalls, founded in 2012, offers home-based primary care and hospice services to homebound geriatric or chronically ill patients throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, and parts of Missouri. The company provides comprehensive physical examinations, annual wellness visits, geriatric assessments, medication management, diagnostic testing, blood work, chronic disease management, immunizations, diabetic screening, and wound care. They do not provide emergency services. Physician Housecalls accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and secondary insurance, and coordinates care with facility staff, patients, families, and insurance companies. They offer services in private homes, assisted living centers, independent senior apartments, and cottages, and work with providers to obtain laboratory and x-ray studies at the patient’s residence. Their services include routine primary care visits, acute illness visits, post-hospitalization visits, disease management, wound care, and dementia assessments. Additional services include decubitus ulcer care, tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube changes, joint injections, vaccinations, laboratory services, and x-rays. Physician Housecalls partners with assisted living centers to provide onsite medical care and helps hospitals reduce readmission risks by visiting patients shortly after discharge. They participate in Medicare’s Independence at Home study, demonstrating significant cost savings for homebound Medicare beneficiaries. Through Serene Palliative Care & Hospice, acquired in 2022, they provide hospice services in Wichita, Kansas, including nursing, after-hours triage, hospice aide, psychosocial and spiritual support, pharmacist services, therapy, volunteer support, medications, medical equipment, and bereavement support.
