PayGround is a company dedicated to simplifying healthcare payments for both patients and providers. It utilizes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to populate bill details from a photo, and supports various payment methods including credit, debit, HSA, FSA cards, and checking accounts. The app also offers a digital wallet for storing preferred payment methods and provides a secure platform with AES 256-bit encryption and PCI-DSS Level 1 certification. PayGround allows payments to both network and non-network providers, with a 3% fee for card payments to non-network providers, while ACH payments are free. The company also offers financing options for healthcare payments and has partnered with Plaid for instant bank account authentication. PayGround raised $19.7M in an oversubscribed Series A funding round in November 2023 and was selected for the UnitedHealthcare Accelerator Program in September 2022.
