Judith O’Brien

Judith O’Brien is a prominent legal expert and current chairman of the board, known for her specialization in the representation of emerging growth companies, particularly in financing. She holds a pivotal role as a partner in the Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions practice at King & Spalding, where she also leads their Emerging Company Practice Group and is a member of the Corporate Practice Group. O’Brien acts as an outside general counselor and advisor, assisting companies from their inception through to Fortune 500 status, across various technology and communications industries. Her responsibilities extend to representing venture capital funds and she has substantial experience as a co-founder and executive in venture funds and emerging start-ups. Additionally, O’Brien serves on the boards of both public and private companies. Her expertise in venture capital has been recognized by Chambers USA in 2015 and 2016, and she was recommended by Legal 500 U.S. in 2015 for her proficiency in venture capital and emerging companies. O’Brien earned her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Smith College.
