Dr. Kenneth Rothschild, with a career spanning over three decades, has made significant advancements in the fields of membrane protein biophysics, vibrational spectroscopy, nanotechnology, mass spectrometric imaging, and molecular diagnostics. He is the founder, executive chairman, and chief innovation officer in his field. Dr. Rothschild holds 56 issued U.S. patents and has authored more than 150 publications in major scientific journals. His academic and professional distinctions include being a General Motors Scholar, a Fellow of the Sloan Foundation, National Research Council, American Heart Association, American Physical Society, and the Biophysical Society. Recently, he was elected to the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), recognizing his impactful contributions to society’s welfare and economic development. Dr. Rothschild serves as an Emeritus Professor of Physics at Boston University, where he also directs the Molecular Biophysics Laboratory. He holds faculty appointments at the BU School of Medicine, Photonics Center, Nanotechnology Innovation Center, and Center for Bioinformatics. Dr. Rothschild completed his Ph.D. in Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology.
