Founded in 2013 by Nanotechnology Engineering graduates from the University of Waterloo, Alchemy, initially named Neverfrost, operates primarily in the industrials sector with a focus on manufacturing and robotics. The company has developed a product line called ExoShield, which includes a windshield protection film. The ExoShield GT3 film is distributed through over 400 aftermarket installers and car dealerships across 56 countries. Additionally, Alchemy offers ExoShield ULTRA DIY kits specifically for Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco owners. Alchemy is also engaged in developing infrared camouflage technology for the Canadian Armed Forces, with whom they have secured two contracts. This technology, which has surpassed all existing NATO alternatives in field trials, can be integrated into various military applications including uniforms and vehicle paints. The company, which participated in Y Combinator’s S14 batch, employs a team of 25 and maintains operations in regions including Canada, America / Canada, and remotely.
