Acceso's Market Access System

Acceso’s Market Access System plays a pivotal role in ensuring that smallholder farmers can sell their produce at guaranteed prices. The system off-takes farmer production, aggregates, processes, and then sells to the best available market channels, which include domestic, international, and humanitarian markets. This approach not only provides farmers with a reliable income stream but also helps stabilize and improve their livelihoods. By acting as a benevolent intermediary, Acceso bridges the gap between smallholder farmers and commercial buyers, ensuring that even the most disenfranchised stakeholders in the food systems, including many women farmers, benefit from market opportunities.

Acceso's Impact

Acceso's integrated seed-to-market services have made a significant impact on smallholder farming communities. Operating in three countries, Acceso works with over 26,000 farmers, collaborates with more than 240 buyers, and deals with over 185 products. The company's efforts have resulted in $83 million in sales and the provision of 13.1 million meals. By improving incomes by an average of 250%, Acceso has demonstrated the effectiveness of its model in creating sustainable economic growth for rural farmers. Each donor dollar to Acceso creates more than three additional dollars for farmers, showcasing the efficiency and impact of their programs.
