X-Zell Company Information
X-Zell is a healthcare diagnostics company founded in November 2014, with locations in Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand, and Düsseldorf, Germany. The company specializes in rare cell detection technology, particularly focusing on isolating and visualizing rare and abnormal cells such as Circulating Endothelial Cells (CEC). X-Zell has developed a comprehensive platform technology consisting of four core modules that cover the entire spectrum from blood processing to cell analysis and reporting. This technology ensures robust results and maximum clinical utility across a broad range of medical applications. By fusing multi-channel immunostaining with digital single-cell imaging technology, X-Zell enables same-day cancer diagnoses from minimally invasive body liquids, significantly reducing the sample-to-diagnosis time from more than 48 hours to less than 4 hours with 40% less manual handling. The company aims to upgrade cytopathology to maximize data output, reduce turnaround time, and make minimally invasive diagnostics accessible for everyone. X-Zell’s plug-and-play solution facilitates the detection, visualization, and digitization of atypical cells in minimally invasive body liquids and fine-needle aspirates. The company has collaborated with MVZ Frankfurt, a leading cytopathology center in central Germany, to establish Cryoimmunostaining™ as an alternative to traditional immunohisto-/cytochemical staining (IHC/ICC). MVZ Frankfurt introduced Cryoimmunostaining™ as a new routine method for analyzing pleural effusion and ascites fluid in 2023. X-Zell participated in Y Combinator’s W15 batch and is backed by various high-profile angel investors. The company has been recognized and awarded in the field of medical technology and diagnostics, and it operates across regions including Southeast Asia, Europe, and offers remote and partly remote services. The team consists of 19 members and continues to actively contribute to advancements in medical diagnostics.
