The company aims to upgrade cytopathology to maximize data output, reduce turnaround time, and make minimally invasive diagnostics accessible for everyone. X-Zell’s plug-and-play solution facilitates the detection, visualization, and digitization of atypical cells in minimally invasive body liquids and fine-needle aspirates. The company has collaborated with MVZ Frankfurt, a leading cytopathology center in central Germany, to establish Cryoimmunostaining™ as an alternative to traditional immunohisto-/cytochemical staining (IHC/ICC). MVZ Frankfurt introduced Cryoimmunostaining™ as a new routine method for analyzing pleural effusion and ascites fluid in 2023. X-Zell participated in Y Combinator’s W15 batch and is backed by various high-profile angel investors.
