Jamie Benoit is the CEO of WaveDancer, a company he founded to revolutionize the way commercial and government organizations conduct business. He has a distinguished background, having served as an officer in the US Army and practiced corporate law before transitioning to the role of CEO at FedData. During his tenure from 2009 to 2019, Benoit transformed FedData from a small start-up into a highly successful company, achieving nearly $500 million in revenue and over $30 million in earnings. He led the company through the acquisition and turnaround of a distressed asset in 2015 and secured significant financial facilities, including over $300 million in asset-based credit facilities and $75 million in senior unsecured debt. Under his leadership, FedData captured a major 5-year contract worth over $500 million supporting the intelligence community and was eventually sold in 2018, providing stockholders and private equity partners with an IRR greater than 80%. Benoit retired as CEO of FedData in December 2019. He holds degrees from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, the University of Baltimore, and the Georgetown University Law Center. A licensed attorney, he has deep expertise in corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, securities, leveraged buyouts, banking, and finance. Benoit is a lifelong resident of Annapolis, where he lives with his wife and three children.
