Seth Harmon

Seth Harmon joined Viridian in 2023 as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting, bringing with him 20 years of experience in strategic finance, accounting, and operations. Prior to this role, he served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BioNTech US, where he managed the general and administrative functions and was a key member of the management team that expanded the organization from 56 to over 500 employees. Harmon also played a significant role at Neon Therapeutics as the Vice President of Finance, where he contributed to a successful $100M Initial Public Offering (IPO) and oversaw the financial restructuring and strategic sale of the company to BioNTech SE. Earlier in his career, he held various positions at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, contributing to the launch of the company’s first commercial product and its subsequent sale to Ipsen. Harmon holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Bowdoin College, as well as an M.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. He also earned his certified public accountant license while working at Ernst and Young, LLP.
