Tom Beetham

Tom Beetham joined Viridian as Chief Operating Officer in October 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the biopharmaceutical sector. His career, extending over two decades, encompasses expertise in operations, business development, strategy, and legal affairs. Prior to his current role, Beetham served as the Chief Legal Officer at Magenta Therapeutics, Inc. He also held significant positions at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, including Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Operations, as well as Chief Legal Officer, where he oversaw strategy, business development, technical operations, medical affairs, and several other critical functions. Earlier in his career, Beetham was the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Synageva BioPharma Corp, and General Legal Counsel at New England Biolabs, Inc. Additionally, he was the lead corporate attorney for Genzyme Corporation’s Oncology and Multiple Sclerosis business units. Beetham’s academic credentials include a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester.
