Dr Sophie Sim

Dr. Sophie Sim serves as the Partnerships Lead at Sixfold Bioscience, a company she co-founded following a pivotal encounter with Dr. George Foot. With a Master of Research in Translational Cancer Medicine from King’s College London and a PhD from the Francis Crick Institute, London, her academic and professional journey is distinguished by her passion for integrating various disciplines to foster impactful scientific advancements. Dr. Sim’s research has been featured in leading journals such as Current Biology, Cell, and Nature Medicine, and she has been instrumental in filing multiple patent applications. As a principal investigator, she has led over 15 major international collaborative projects. In addition to her scientific pursuits, Dr. Sim holds an MBA and has been recognized by Forbes in their 30 under 30 Science and Healthcare list in 2018. She is also an active member of the UK’s Bioindustry Association, contributing to the Engineering Biology and Science and Innovation Advisory Committees.
