Dr Sofia Anagianni

Dr. Sofia Anagianni holds the position of Senior Scientist I at Sixfold Bioscience, where she plays a crucial role in advancing RNA therapeutic technologies. Her work primarily focuses on the development and optimization of Mergo®, a programmable RNA tag designed specifically for efficient RNA delivery. Dr. Anagianni is actively involved in the high-throughput generation and testing of over 100,000 Mergo® variants, utilizing machine learning to enhance manufacturability and efficacy. She collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team, including coders, chemists, biologists, and automation engineers, to integrate innovative chemistry, lab automation, and AI to optimize RNA delivery systems. This project harnesses both evolutionary biology insights and computational speed to create a cutting-edge platform for RNA therapeutics. Dr. Anagianni’s contributions are pivotal in the commercialization of these patented drug delivery systems.
