Angela Speetjens

Angela Speetjens graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Auburn University, where she specialized in fruit and vegetable production. During her academic career, she developed and managed a hydroponic system within a greenhouse, showcasing her early interest and skill in innovative cultivation methodologies. Before entering the agricultural sector, Speetjens spent nearly a decade in the dental field, where her roles varied from dental and surgical assisting to management. Leveraging her diverse background and enthusiasm for sustainable farming, she co-founded Shipshape Urban Farms. As the Chief Science Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, Speetjens plays a pivotal role in integrating advanced sustainable practices into the company’s urban farming operations.
