Lee McDaniel

Lee McDaniel serves as the Director of Bioinformatics, bringing 18 years of expertise in high-performance computing and data analysis, primarily focused on cancer research and medicine. His career includes significant contributions to novel epigenomic analysis pipelines at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and pediatric cancer genomics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Additionally, McDaniel has been involved in scientific collaborations related to circulating tumor DNA and immunogenomics at Personalis. He earned his MD from Georgetown University after completing pre-medical studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a pediatrics residency at Duke. McDaniel also holds both a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. His research has been featured in prestigious journals such as Nature, Cancer Research, and Nucleic Acids Research. Beyond his professional pursuits, McDaniel is dedicated to supporting homeless communities by offering technology education classes in his free time.
