Sumer Johal

Sumer Johal, holding both a BS and MS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has over 25 years of experience in building and managing digital-first organizations across various industries and geographies. Growing up in an agricultural family in Punjab, India, he has a deep connection to agricultural issues. Previously, he founded and led Agralogics, and currently, he serves as the Executive Director of AgStack at The Linux Foundation. His recent work focuses on addressing systemic challenges in environmental stewardship, food security, rural livelihoods, and digital access equity within agriculture- and rural-centric ecosystems. Additionally, he continues to contribute to the field as a board member of Agralogics, Inc., a global leader in data computation for agriculture.
