Humphrey Obuobi

Humphrey Obuobi serves as a Product Manager at Recidiviz, focusing on public data efforts that aim to make information within the criminal justice system more available, accessible, and insightful. He spearheads the Justice Counts initiative, a federally funded project designed to increase data availability across the United States, and manages Spotlight, a public dashboard tool. Motivated by the desire to support a robust and equitable democracy, Humphrey’s work addresses the failures of the criminal justice system. Outside of his professional life, he has a passion for ramen, documenting every bowl he consumed in 2019 with detailed ratings, totaling 30 unique bowls. His tea routine is meticulously planned with green tea in the morning, chai in the afternoon, oolong in the evenings, and chamomile at night. The last show he enjoyed was ‘Never Have I Ever,’ and he was significantly influenced by Lee McIntyre’s book ‘Post-Truth.’ Humphrey advises his younger self to listen to his authentic self and spend more time with his parents, and if given the choice, he would choose to eat ramen exclusively forever, particularly a well-made bowl of tonkotsu.
