QT Imaging

QT Imaging provides a non-invasive, FDA-cleared breast imaging technology known as the Breast Acoustic CT™ Scanner. This patient-centric imaging system prioritizes comfort and safety by delivering high-quality, high-resolution, quantitative 3D images without the need for breast compression, radiation exposure, or contrast agents. The company has received over $15 million in NIH grants for the development of their imaging technology and clinical trials. The FDA granted 510(k) clearance for the QT scanner, which is designed to be used as an ultrasonic imaging system for a patient’s breast, not as a replacement for screening mammography. QT Imaging’s technology can characterize and isolate tissue types based on the speed of sound, offering true volumetric, quantitative images. This technology addresses the challenge of imaging dense breast tissue, which is common in about 50% of women in the US and more than 75% in Asia.
