Known information
Harrison Steed, alongside his brother Austin Steed, co-founded PickTrace, a company that originated from a concept brainstormed for their family farm in the summer of 2013. Harrison played a pivotal role in winning PickTrace’s first external customer in the summer of 2014. His leadership saw the company through key phases including graduating from Y Combinator’s startup accelerator in the summer of 2015, where they also hired their first employee. By the summer of 2017, Harrison had successfully implemented a go-to-market plan, having solidified the product-market fit among enterprise growers. The company reached cash-flow positivity by the summer of 2018 and subsequently raised Series A funding, which facilitated the relocation of its headquarters to Glendale, Los Angeles during the winter of 2018-2019. Under his guidance, PickTrace tripled its headcount over the last 12 months and rearchitected its product to deliver a next-generation version in the spring of 2020.
