Niklas Klein

Niklas Klein holds a title in Machine Learning and is actively engaged in the development of technology aimed at building trust in the demand side of the carbon market. He works for a startup company based in Mexico that specializes in designing and implementing large-scale nature-based projects. Klein’s work primarily involves utilizing Pachama’s technology to scale climate action effectively. His efforts are concentrated on community-level relationship building and ensuring social benefits for landowners involved in these projects. Currently, Klein is engaged in reforestation carbon project development across the USA, Mexico, and Brazil, with plans to expand both the types of projects and the regions they cover in the future. Additionally, he supports carbon project development under the newly upcoming Verra Carbon Standard ARR methodology.
