Lindsey Nield holds a specialization in machine learning with a focus on applying this technology to address climate change issues. She is actively involved in projects that utilize satellite data for forest carbon mapping and monitoring, aiming to improve the accuracy and reliability of carbon crediting. Lindsey is part of a team responsible for evaluating over 150 forest carbon projects globally, and contributes to the development of Pachama Originals, which represents a new generation of forest carbon projects. Her work incorporates AI and remote sensing technologies to enhance the transparency and integrity of carbon markets. Lindsey is also engaged in scaling forest restoration and conservation efforts to align with The Paris Agreement targets. She collaborates with a diverse group of professionals from prestigious organizations like NASA, Google, SpaceX, Microsoft, Tesla, and Airbnb. Her projects not only focus on carbon sequestration but also support local communities, protect biodiversity, and strengthen ecosystem services.
