Max Yancho

Max Yancho holds a title in Applied Science and is an integral member of a team at Pachama, a company renowned for its work in forest carbon markets. He collaborates with forest scientists, technologists, and carbon market experts to evaluate over 150 forest carbon projects certified by the world’s four largest voluntary carbon registries. Yancho has played a pivotal role in developing Pachama’s Project Evaluation Criteria 2.1 and is actively involved in the development of Pachama Originals projects in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. His efforts contribute significantly to driving funding towards the protection and restoration of millions of hectares of land. Pachama, his employer, is supported by prominent investors such as Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Future Positive, Amazon Climate Pledge Fund, Y Combinator, and Deutsche Telekom, and serves climate leaders including Salesforce, Nespresso, Shopify, and Boston Consulting Group.
