This experience shaped his career, leading him to Silicon Valley where he combined his technological expertise with a passion for environmental conservation. He founded Pachama while staying in a cabin in the Redwood forests, focusing on developing technologies to aid in the restoration and conservation of forests. Under his leadership, Pachama has restored over 10,000 hectares and conserved more than 2 million hectares of native forests globally. The company has also equipped numerous Fortune 500 companies with the necessary insights to invest confidently in nature. Diego’s diverse background includes experiences at prestigious organizations such as NASA, Google, The Nature Conservancy, SpaceX, Microsoft, Tesla, and Airbnb. His work is driven by a commitment to invest in innovations that restore nature at a climate scale and to help businesses invest in nature with trust.
