Jonathan Grubb

Jonathan Grubb serves as the Vice President of Product, playing a pivotal role in partnerships with prominent companies like Salesforce, Nespresso, Shopify, and Boston Consulting Group. He is deeply committed to combating climate change through initiatives focused on reforestation and conservation. Grubb’s work is supported by notable investors such as Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Future Positive, Amazon Climate Pledge Fund, Y Combinator, and Deutsche Telekom. His strategic focus involves the use of artificial intelligence and satellite data to evaluate and monitor over 150 forest carbon projects, which are certified by major carbon registries. Grubb’s goal is to restore 100 million hectares of deforested and degraded land through Pachama Originals projects in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. He leverages remote sensing and AI technology in project development and offers a marketplace for purchasing carbon credits, emphasizing transparency and quality. Additionally, Grubb engages in partnerships to originate new generations of forest projects, such as with Mercado Libre for Regenera América. He is dedicated to supporting local communities, protecting biodiversity, and creating sustainable jobs through these forest projects. His team consists of forest scientists, technologists, and carbon market experts who provide tech-enabled insights for companies to invest in nature confidently. Grubb also participated in the LEAF Coalition to support high-quality REDD and jurisdictional REDD projects and partnered with Delta Land Services for the Avahoula Climate Action Project in Louisiana. Plans are underway to expand support for reforestation carbon project development to additional countries in Latin America.
