Olam International is a global agribusiness operating in over 60 countries, with a network of more than 85 large processing and manufacturing facilities. The company supplies food ingredients, feed, and fibre to 22,000 customers worldwide. Olam’s subsidiary, Olam Food Ingredients (ofi), offers sustainable, natural, value-added food products and ingredients, and is preparing for a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange with a concurrent secondary listing on the Singapore Exchange. Olam Agri focuses on meeting the rising demand for food, feed, and fibre, particularly in Asian and African countries. The Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) has invested US$1.24 billion for a 35.43% stake in Olam Agri. Additionally, ofi secured a US$1,975 million sustainability-linked loan to further its sustainability initiatives. Olam Agri and Nutrifoods have also been involved in providing relief items to flood victims in Ghana, and Olam Agri’s rubber business in Côte d’Ivoire donated a solar water pump to benefit over 12,000 inhabitants in the village of Satikran. Olam has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series since June 2020, ranks among the top 30 largest primary listed companies in Singapore in terms of market capitalization, and is a Fortune Global 500 company. The company has also been a constituent of the FT Global All Cap Ex US Index and included in the MSCI World ESG Screened Index (USD) since its launch in 2021. Olam’s sustainability insights platform, AtSource, provides customers with a comprehensive view of their supply chain sustainability parameters. The company has also launched a climate-tech venture, Terrascope, to help businesses manage and reduce their carbon emissions. Olam’s value chain spans from growing crops in orchards and estates to sourcing from a global network of farmers, and it markets its own brands directly to consumers in Africa.
