Anthony J Tedeschi, MD, MPH, MBA

Anthony J Tedeschi, MD, MPH, MBA, is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of operational and clinical experience. He currently holds the titles of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Tedeschi retired in January 2020 as the CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Detroit Market. His career includes starting a clinical practice in a rural community and serving in various leadership roles, including interim co-CEO and hospital president for a large suburban integrated-delivery system, and interim COO of Chicago’s Cook County Health & Hospitals System. He has also led organizational performance improvement as the COO and CMO of two urban, safety-net hospitals. Dr. Tedeschi is board-certified in family medicine and holds a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University, and a master’s degree in public health from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
