David Cowan

David Cowan brings a wealth of experience to the aviation technology sector, with a career spanning more than three decades. He has a strong technical background in engineering, software development, and systems integration. Most recently, Cowan played a pivotal role at Boeing NeXT, leading new business ventures that push the boundaries of aviation technology. Previously, he served as the Chief Growth Officer at Insitu, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary, where he was instrumental in developing innovative aircraft and unmanned aerial systems (UAS), including technologies for detect-and-avoid systems. Additionally, Cowan has been a key Boeing executive liaison and board observer to SkyGrid, LLC, a strategic joint venture between Boeing and SparkCognition, focusing on advanced air mobility solutions.
