Kimberly Bishop

Kimberly Bishop oversees Gen’s global employee engagement and social impact programs, focusing on making communities around the world safer and more supportive. She has authored several blog posts on Gen’s website about community impact and social responsibility. Bishop played a key role in organizing Gen’s first Global Volunteer Week and has been involved in creating digital literacy educational materials for various demographics, including seniors, parents, children, and young people. Her efforts extend to mentoring students with disabilities and assembling college care packages. She has collaborated with organizations such as ACCEL and Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona and partnered with Story Pirates to develop a platform for employees to read and provide feedback on children’s stories. Bishop has also participated in environmental service opportunities, including building native bee houses and planting trees, and contributed to projects like Missing Maps to aid humanitarian efforts. Additionally, she organized wellness kits for people experiencing homelessness and created online resources to enhance Cyber Safety education and promote digital safe spaces. Bishop helped launch the My Digital Life program for educators to teach students about digital safety, expanding it into schools in the U.K. She has been involved in the Smart Talk program to help families set healthy tech limits and worked on the Surf Smart 2.0 program with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Furthermore, she contributed to the Guide to Online Safety for LGBTQ+ Young People in partnership with The Trevor Project. Bishop organized Giving Tuesday campaigns, leading to significant donations to various causes, and launched the Gen Giving Hub platform to encourage employee participation in charitable activities. She has also supported local holiday-inspired donation drives and service projects.
