Maria Luisa Pineda

Maria Luisa Pineda began her distinguished career as a high school winner at the Intel International Science Fair, which set the stage for her future achievements in the scientific community. She was awarded a significant $2 million endowment from the Goizueta Foundation to support her undergraduate studies. Further enhancing her academic credentials, Pineda received an NIH fellowship through the Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC U*STAR) program. She earned her Doctorate from the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory School of Biological Sciences, where she was recognized as an Arnold and Mabel Beckman graduate student and a William Randolph Hearst foundation scholar.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Pineda gained valuable investment experience at Canrock Ventures and Golden Seeds, LLC, focusing on technology and life-sciences startup companies. As the CEO of Envisagenics, she has successfully led the company to secure non-dilutive SBIR grants from the National Institutes of Health, raise capital from various investors, win several prestigious artificial intelligence competitions, and establish multiple research collaboration partnerships with Biopharma. Her leadership continues to drive significant advancements in the field of biotechnology.
