Known information
Diksha Shetty began her career as an oceanographer specializing in climate change research at the National Institute of Oceanography. She later transitioned to the development sector, driven by her interests in capacity building, women empowerment, and sustainability. Her journey in this field started as a fellow at Teach For India. Diksha has collaborated with significant organizations such as the United Nations Environment Program and the Government of Andhra Pradesh to enhance the sustainability of rural enterprises among minority communities. She has also been involved in executing state-level capacity-building initiatives for the dissemination of Natural Farming practices at the National Resource Organization for Natural Farming. Additionally, Diksha was part of the Participatory Video Research team at the University of Reading, UK, and has worked in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Outside her professional life, she enjoys trekking, badminton, painting, and holds a silver medal in the national championships for Tao Lu.
