Before dedicating himself to educational reform, Dhawan spent two decades in the investment management industry, where he managed one of India’s leading private equity funds, ChrysCapital. He left his full-time role at ChrysCapital in June 2012 to establish CSF. Additionally, Dhawan is a founding member of Ashoka University, aiming to foster critical thinking and intellectual rigor. He also co-founded and funded the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), driven by his belief that enhancing state capacity is crucial for improving development outcomes at scale in India.
