Anima Kerketta

Anima Kerketta has built a notable career focused on poverty eradication, institution building, and promoting entrepreneurship among rural community women. She worked with the Kudumbashree National Resource Organisation, a key institution under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. In her early career, Anima implemented livelihood and entrepreneurship projects in Jharkhand, directly engaging with local communities to enhance their economic opportunities. She also played a significant role in the capacity building of stakeholders across 18 states over a period of three years, aiming to strengthen their skills in managing and executing poverty alleviation and entrepreneurship initiatives. Anima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Asutosh College, affiliated with Calcutta University, and a Master’s degree in Social Work, specializing in Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai.
